At present, spiral welded pipe units at home and abroad can be basically divided into two categories based on the adjustment method of forming angle: discontinuous spiral welded pipe line and continuous spiral welded pipe line. The biggest difference between these two types of units is that when changing the pipe diameter, the forming angle needs to be adjusted. Compared with the continuous spiral welded pipe line , the main advantages of discontinuous spiral welded pipe line are:

(1) Short unit, area is small , and investment savings;

(2) Changing production specifications is relatively easy and suitable for the production of small batches and multi specification steel pipes;

(3) Due to compact equipment layout and centralized processes, production staffing can be reduced. Generally, 7-8 people are needed to organize production;

(4) It is relatively easy to achieve automatic control.
